Cristina-Carollo (1)Dr. Cristina Carollo –  Formerly with the Florida Institute of Oceanography, University of South Florida, Dr. Carollo led the effort to acquire funding from the EPA’s Gulf  of Mexico Program for FWRI to initiate a Gulf of Mexico Alliance project focused on living marine resources. This grant included funding to collect metadata for the 747 references collected by Dr. Simons, and an effort to complete the geo-coding begun by Dr. Yuan. Dr. Carollo has assisted with the writing of proposals, geared toward acquiring more funding for the project and papers to inform the scientific community about the need for and importance of the Gulf species interaction database.
